The Tibetans, through centuries of embodied Buddhist practice have mastered the skill of working with imagination in order to transform their minds and experiences. Through the discipline of visualizing and meditating on Buddhas and deities and their qualities, they are able to transform their minds and ultimately fully awaken to these energies within themselves.
In this practical mini-worksop, traditional Tibetan thangka painter and artist Tiffani Gyatso will guide us through simple drawing exercises that teach us how to recognize our deeper emotions and personal symbols so that we can then reshape them, transforming them into symbols of liberation as expressed in sacred art.
Through this practice we begin to consciously transform our inner and outer worlds, rather than be unconsciously influenced and shaped by the multitude of images that bombard our daily life. This is a profound practice for getting in touch with deeper aspects of our own being and elevating our consciousness during these challenging times.
